About the Rally Roses des Sables

The Rally Roses des Sables is a women only event that takes place in Morocco from the 9 to 19 of October 2008. It is based on the pure tradition of an African rally.The objective is to  navigate the daily stage with the aid of a roadbook and a compass. The terrain of Northen Africa, everything from lava beds to sand dunes will be extremly challenging . The last two days of the event is a solo ride in the dunes with only a sleeping bag and some food.

Other than the adventure and physical aspects, we are also going for humanitarian reasons. Each team has to bring     50 kg of humanitarian material for the children of the desert foundation www.enfantsdudesert.org . A portion of the entry fees is donated directly to the foundation which over the years has aided  hundreds of children  to receive an education .
